Feb 09, 2012 (newstodate): EASA has now ordered checks on the wings of all Airbus A380 aircraft currently operating around the world.
The unpleasant discovery of cracks in the wing led to the conclusion that there is a problem in the manufacturing of the wing section that may pose a danger to air safety.
A total of 68 Airbus A380 aircraft are currently in commercial service with seven airline including Emirates, Singapore Airlines, Qantas, Air France, Korean Air, China Southern Airlines, and Lufthansa.
