Feb 10, 2012 (newstodate): Cimber Sterling is reportedly divesting itself of four Boeing 737-700 aircraft.
The Danish ACMI and charter carrier Jet Time has signed a wet-lease agreement with Cimber Sterling to take in the aircraft that will then operate the flights under the contracts with Cimber Sterling's customers in the charter business.
Jet Time already operates a fleet of five Boeing 737-300 in passenger version, two Boeing 737-300QC, and three Boeing 737-700 aircraft.
The lease of the four aircraft from Cimber Sterling runs for one year, allowing time for Jet Time to consider taking over the lease contract themselves after its expiry with Cimber Sterling
Through the transaction, Cimber Sterling will be operating a fleet comprising only two aircraft types - nine ATR aircraft and 10 Bombardier CRJ-200 aircraft - after handing back the last two remaining Boeing 737-700 aircraft to the lessor later this spring.
