Feb 24, 2012 (newstodate): Sukhoi is preparing for delivery of the second Superjet 100 to Armavia, the first operator of the aircraft type.
The second Superjet will land with Armavia by the end of this year's first quarter, and expectations are that Armavia will by then announced a fresh deal with Sukhoi for a further five or six Superjet 100 aircraft, for delivery in 2013 and 2014, sources say.
The second airline to take delivery of the new Russian commercial jet, Aeroflot has placed orders for a total of 30 Superjet 100 with options for another 10 aircraft, and is already operating five units.
