Dec 03, 2012 (newstodate): The Swedish aerospace company SAAB has signed a JV with an Indian partner, Quest Global Manufacturing.
Under the agreement, the new aero structure assembly joint venture will manufacture and supply assemblies for the aero structures market.
SAAB will hold 26 percent of the stake in line as part of its strategy to boost its presence in India.
The new entity will be named Aero Assemblies India, and be located in Quest Global's Special Economic Zone in Belgaum, where Quest already has a manufacturing facility.
Customers will be aircraft companies including Boeing and Airbus that are already contracting SAAB for manufacturing of aircraft parts.
