Dec 11, 2012 (newstodate): Sweden's Jonkoping Airport is adding new business from summer 2013!
Ryanair has decided to set up flights between Jonkoping and Barcelona, Spain, from April 1, 2013, offering two weekly rotations on the route.
With this move, Jonkoping will become Ryanair's 8th destination in Sweden, and the new route is also the airport's first low-cost offering.
The airport is also building up a portfolio of charter operations, most recently announcing new flights by Ving to Mexico from February 3, 2013.
Jonkoping Airport will also regain its direct flight connection to Copenhagen Airport, with Flyglinjen starting two daily flights from January 17, 2013.
In air cargo, Jonkoping Airport is also seeing volumes up in 2012, driven by a strong growth in volumes by TNT/time:matters, lifting international cargo volumes over to 200 tonnes every month since April 2012.
