Dec 06, 2012 (newstodate): Russian Post has decided to set up its own postal carrier, with the first flights to start within only few days.
The company will reportedly build a fleet of ten aircraft by 2015, including six Czech-manufactured Let L-410, two An-74 and two An-26 aircraft on a wet-lease contract.
The aircraft will based at strategical points to provider postal services to outlying regions, especially, with Khabarovsk as a first base in the network soon to be expanded to include also Yakutia, Tyumen, Magadan, Kamchatka and Chukotka.
