Dec 11, 2012 (newstodate): Despite a general decline in the Nordic air cargo business, Lufthansa Cargo managed to emerge from October 2012 with positive growth in all four markets.
In Denmark Lufthansa Cargo saw volumes up by 19.3 percent, y-o-y, to 543 tonnes, ranked #3 among IATA carriers as to export air cargo.
In Sweden the increase was 26.8 percent to 1,053 tonnes and was ranked as #2.
In Norway Lufthansa Cargo increased its volumes by 17.3 percent to 6552 tonnes and a position as #6, and finally in Finland Lufthansa Cargo was ranked #2 with an increase by 45 percent to 480 tonnes.
Overall, the Danish IATA export cargo marked was down by 14.8 percent, y-o-y, Sweden again dropped 16.8 percent, Norway increased by 11.9 percent while Finland was down in volumes by 0.7 percent, y-o-y.
