Dec 06, 2012 (newstodate): Latvia's airBaltic will launch the new year with opening a new route to the Czech Republic.
Effective from January 1, 2013, the carrier will offer flights between Riga and Prague, with three weekly rotations using Bombardier Q400 aircraft on the route.
As part of the airBaltic ReShape business plan, the carrier has focused on high-demand routes, adding frequencies to 12 destinations in Europe and the CIS already for this winter's schedule.
Also freeing capacity on low-demand routes, the carrier will instead open up flights to six new destinations in the next summer schedule, with Prague as the first of these.
The new program will be announced as airBaltic reaches agreement with its new coming partners.
