Dec 11, 2012 (newstodate): Stockholm Arlanda may be the next target for Emirates in Scandinavia.
Emirates has reportedly applied for slots at Arlanda from summer 2013, but this does not in itself prove that traffic will actually be launched.
So far, the is no public announcement from Emirates to verify if the carrier is to extend its Scandinavian catchment.
Emirates launched flights on the route between Dubai and Copenhagen from August 1, 2011, starting out with a daily rotation using Airbus A330-200 aircraft, but replacing the Airbus aircraft with a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft from October 1, 2012.
In addition to Emirates' daily passenger flights, Emirates SkyCargo is also active in the Scandinavian market with three weekly all-cargo flights between Dubai and Gothenburg, in Sweden,
