Dec 05, 2012 (newstodate): The German carrier airberlin is to restructure its East European route offerings from 2013.
The carrier is closing down its flights from Vienna, Austria, to East European destinations Belgrade, Bucharest and Sofia, focusing instead on routes from its hub at Berlin Tegel Airport, later to be transferred to the new Berlin Brandenburg Airport when it is finally commissioned.
airberlin will not, however offer flights to Belgrade after this move.
The carrier's East European route network form Berlin will thus comprise flights to Warsaw, Krakow, Gdansk, Moscow, St Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Budapest, Sofia and Bucharest.
