Dec 11, 2012 (newstodate): Although an elderly aircraft type, the Fokker 50 is still in demand around the world.
As one example, Kazakhstan's Air Astana had little problem with seeing a new life for its fleet of six Fokker 50 aircraft that have been phased out to be replaced by new Embraer E-190 aircraft.
All six Fokker 50 aircraft are now heading for their new operator, Avior Airlines, based at Barcelona in Venezuela after technical checks with Rekkof, in Holland.
