Dec 18, 2012 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic has now fulfilled
its list of promises for summer 2013.
The carrier earlier announced that it will launch seasonal flights on six new routes in 2013, and published the last remaining two destinations on December 17: Malta and Sardinia, to be served from May 11 and May 4, 2013, respectively.
The latest new routes will be operated during the summer peak season with one and up to two weekly rotations, respectively.
Earlier, the carrier announced new routes from Riga to the Czech Republic, Hungary, Cyprus, and Croatia.
The carrier's strategy is to wind down frequencies during the summer to destinations less in demand, allocating instead capacity to leisure destinations during summer peak.
