Nov 16, 2012 (newstodate): Swissport does not seem to be the only company having problems with payments for services rendered to Ukrainean airlines.
On November 7, 2012, newstodate reported on action taken by Swissport drawing the attention of IATA to repeated failures of Ukraine International Airways to pay for handling services at several airports.
Now, Donetsk International Airport has announced the management's decision to stop providing ground handling services for Aerosvit's flights to Tel Aviv, starting from November 13, 2012 till the resumption of the airline's payment discipline.
The action is "due to exhaustion of domestic credit provision for Aerosvit Airlines, and the management now "considers the application of sanctions for non-compliance with the terms of the contract".
