Nov 15, 2012 (newstodate): TNT Logistics is most satisfied with its operations at Jonkoping Airport as also proved by steep increases in cargo volumes.
-The airport is strategically well positioned in the middle of Sweden, with excellent access to a majority of the country's leading companies in the automotive and other industrial segments, says Paul Pedersen, TNT Logistics.
-The airport infrastructure also provides an efficient hub for onward distribution by air with freighters flying in from our hub at Brussels via Jonkoping to Helsinki, and connecting with flights from Jonkoping to Oslo and Billund, in addition to trucking services to other Swedish destinations as well as to the Danish capital region.
-Cooperation with the airport has been running smoothly since we established our new regional hub here in June 2008. I only wonder why other airlines have not followed suit, says Mr Pedersen.
Since April 10, 2012, TNT and time:matters have cooperated to support time-matters' product, Spare Parts Logistics.
Farnair is now operating an ATR 42-300 freighter on behalf of time:matters, carrying shipments from Baden Airpark, the airport serving Karlsruhe in Germany, to Jonkoping Airport and continuing to Billund Airport, in Denmark, while time:matters' shipments to Oslo and Helsinki are transferred at Jonkoping to TNT flights.
