Nov 06, 2012 (newstodate): Latvia's Riga Airport continues its strong and sustained growth in cargo volumes handled in October 2012.
A total of 2,448 tonnes of cargo passed through the airport, an increase by 107.7 percent, y-o-y.
Mail volumes were 499 tonnes, but the growth was driven by cargo shipments that were 1,949 tonnes.
As in the earlier months or this year, the growth is primarily generated by the ISAF traffic transferring at Riga Airport.
In January-October 2012, the airport has seen a total of 27,705 tonnes of cargo, an increase by 168.1 percent, y-o-y.
