Nov 27, 2012 (newstodate): Lithuania's Kaunas Airport has named a new general manager after an interim period since July 31, 2012, with Commercial Manager Jurate Baltrusaityte serving as interim General Manager.
New in the seat is Povilas Ugianskis, who comes from a position as Director of Commerce at Syntezy, a company in Lithuania's oil and energy sector.
In January-October 2012 Kaunas Airport has seen passenger volumes up only 0.38 percent to 777,054 due to its main operator, Ryanair's move of traffic to Vilnius Airport, while cargo volumes are up 38.7 percent, y-o-y, to 2,318 tonnes during the period.
