Nov 01, 2012 (newstodate): Estonian Air has scrapped plans for launching flights to London City Airport in 2013.
The carrier had announced the start of services between Tallinn Airport and London City Airport from March 1, 2013, but these plans are now shelved as the current strategy has been scrapped and a new management, including a new CEO, installed as reported by newstodate on October 31, 2012.
Plans were to operate three weekly rotations on the route from the start, increasing to four rotations from May 2, 2013, and going further up to six rotations from June 1, 2013.
Estonian Air stopped operating its route between Tallinn and London Gatwick from October 15, 2012, leaving a void in traffic between Estonia and the UK capital.
In a similar move, Estonian Air will also not launch four weekly flights between Tallinn and Gothenburg from February 4, 2013, as earlier planned.
