Nov 26, 2012 (newstodate): SAS is reportedly to close down its route between Oslo and Moscow from the start of the summer 2013 schedule.
The route was launched on March 27, 2011, as the carrier introduced four weekly rotations using Boeing 737-600 aircraft between Oslo, Norway, and Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport.
With this opening of the route from Norway, SAS has been flying to Moscow from all three Scandinavian capitals, with daily flights from both Copenhagen, Denmark, and Stockholm, Sweden.
The LCC Norwegian started flights from Oslo to Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport from August 16, 2008, with five weekly flights but pulled out again from February 9, 2009, after only half a year's performance.
Alone on the route will then be Aeroflot with up to 10 weekly flights during the winter period.
