Nov 01, 2012 (newstodate): Airfreight volumes are still falling slightly behind last year's performance at Denmark's Billund Airport, marked by a sustained decrease in import volumes.
A total of 5,371 tonnes of cargo was handled at the airport in October 2012, down 3.9 percent, y-o-y.
Imports fared the worst, down eight percent to 2,353 tonnes, while exports were down only 0.4 percent to 3,018 tonnes.
For the period January-October 2012, volumes landed at 52,629 tonnes, down one percent, including 25,197 tonnes of imports, down 2.3 percent, and 27.432 tonnes of exports, slightly up by 0.3 percent, y-o-y.
