Nov 14, 2012 (newstodate): Starting from January 2013, Volga-Dnepr will launch business at its new aircraft maintenance facility at Sharjah.
Among the first customers to sign up for on-call service of Boeing 747 aircraft are Iceland's Air Atlanta and the US carrier Kalitta Air, and a contract for providing aircraft line service at Sharjah has also been signed with the Pakistani passenger and cargo charter carrier Vision Air International.
The new maintenance center will start performing its first A-checks on Boeing 737, Boeing 747 and Airbus A320 aircraft from February-March 2013, and expectations are that some 40 A-checks will be performed in the first year of operation, while C-Checks will be added from the end of next year.
