Oct 12, 2012 (newstodate): Two companies are reportedly considering a stake in Bosnia-Herzegovina's airline, BH Airlines that is (again) up for sale.
According to Serb media, Turkey's Tarhan Tower Airlines and the Malaysian low-cost carrier AirAsia have acquired the tender materials and thus filed their interest in the carrier, now owned by the state that however intends to retain a golden share in the company.
Negotiations with these two potential investors and strategic partners are to begin "shortly", according to the report.
In 2008, Turkish Airlines emerged the winner of the tender for 49 percent of the stake in BH Airlines, but relations between the two partners soon soured and were eventually broken again in 2012, leaving BH Airlines in dire financial troubles and with bleak prospects of survival on its own.
