Oct 01, 2012 (newstodate): The Civil aviation authorities of the United Arab Emirates and Kosovo have finalized an air services agreement.
Under the agreement airlines from the two signatory states can operate freely with full flexibility on routes, capacity, number of frequencies and types of aircraft, both in passenger and cargo services.
The agreement also included fifth freedom traffic rights, and both parties will allow unrestricted non-scheduled and charter operations between the two markets.
While Kosovo does not currently have any airline to benefit from the agreement, UAE has designated Emirates Airline, Etihad Airways, Air Arabia, RAK Airways and Flydubai as national carriers.
