Oct 11, 2012 (newstodate): During January-August 2012, Russian airlines saw their combined cargo volumes reaching 615,972 tonnes.
The growth over the period was 2.9 percent, y-o-y, indicating a slight improvement on last month's performance.
The top-5 in Russia's cargo business were AirBridgeCargo with 323,581 tonnes of freight and mail, down 1.4 percent, y-o-y, followed by Aeroflot with 124,244 tonnes, up 26.5 percent, Volga-Dnepr with 43,941 tonnes and up 7.9 percent, Transaero with 39,807 tonnes, up 29.6 percent, and finally S7 with 23,218 tonnes and up 3.8 percent, y-o-y.
