Oct 30, 2012 (newstodate): A tender has been opened for provision of new airfield infrastructure at Trans-Baikal Russia's Chita Kadala Airport.
The tender comprises delivery and implementation of new airfield lighting systems to upgrade the existing equipment at the airport's 2,800, runway system.
The winner of the tender will be announced on November 6, 2012.
During the first half of 2012, the airport handled a total of 17,000 passengers, up 22 percent, y-o-y, primarily due to increase in domestic flights by Aeroflot, S7 and Ural Airlines.
