Oct 09, 2012 (newstodate): After a dynamic start to the year, Norway's Oslo Gardermoen Airport is seeing its growth in cargo volumes slowing down.
During January-September 2012 the airport has handled a total of 75,898 tonnes of cargo and mail, an increase by 7.6 percent, y-o-y.
While this exceeds the growth performance of other airports in the Nordic region, is still marks a sliding positive growth trend, month by month, in 2012.
Included in the total are 53,137 tonnes of international cargo, up 9.8 percent, y-o-y, and 22,761 tonnes of domestic cargo, up 2.6 percent.
In September 2012, the airport saw volumes up by only 2.8 percent, y-o-y, to 9,145 tonnes of cargo, including 6,511 tonnes of international cargo, up 7.9 percent, and 2,635 tonnes of domestic cargo, down 7.8 percent.
In August 2021, cargo and mail volumes were up 3.3 percent, in July growth was 4.4 percent, in June 3.7 percent, and in May volumes were up by 10.8 percent, y-o-y.
