Oct 18, 2012 (newstodate): Lithuania's Siauliai Airport is seeing its cargo business growing in 2012.
A total of 4,004 tonnes of cargo was handled at the airport during January-September 2012, an increase by 44.6 percent, y-o-y.
In September 2012 alone the airport handled 556 tonnes of cargo, 132 percent more than in September 2011.
Driving growth in volumes at Siauliai Airport is the increase in ex-China exports to Russia flown into Istanbul, Turkey, and transferring via Siauliai Airport for trucking to destinations in Russia.
