Oct 29, 2012 (newstodate): After a hectic round of negotiations, the British LCC easyJet has won the rights to operate flights between London and Moscow.
Starting from Spring 2013, the carrier will offer two daily rotations on the route between London Gatwick and Moscow, using Airbus A320 aircraft.
easyJet expects to fly more than 230,000 passenger on the route.
The opportunity for easyJet arose after BMI exited the route as a consequence of BA's acquisition of BMI from Lufthansa.
BMI was the second carrier in the air between London and Moscow from summer 2006.
