Oct 08, 2012 (newstodate): easyJet is to grow its slice of the Icelandic air travel market from this summer.
The LCC has announced its decision to add two new routes from Manchester and Edinburgh to Keflavik Airport, starting in March 2013.
The twice-weekly flights will be introduced between Keflavik and Edinburgh and Manchester from March 14 and 21, 2013, respectively.
The two new routes come on top of the service between London Luton Airport and Keflavik Airport launched on March 26, 2012, and frequency on this route will be increased from three to four weekly rotations on a year-round basis from the start of this summer also, bringing the total number of easyJet rotations between the UK and Iceland to eight per week form summer 2013.
From the start, the route from London Luton Airport was intended to be a seasonal service only, but booking volumes soon convinced the carrier of its potentials as a year-round service.
