Oct 01, 2012 (newstodate): The new Romanian carrier Atom Airways has now taken delivery of its first aircraft.
The carrier will base its ex-Qantas Boeing 767-200ER aircraft at Florida's Melbourne International Airport as its US hub for the planned flights between the USA and Afghanistan via Bucharest Otopeni Henri Coanda International Airport.
The first flight is slated for October 12, 2012, and will be routed also via Washington Dulles International.
A unique feature is that Atom Airways will restrict its business to comprise only companies authorized through its own scheme.
