Jan 04, 2012 (newstodate): Turkey's Turkish Airlines and Ukraine's AeroSvit has agreed to cooperate in the provision of air traffic between the two countries.
Entering a code-share agreement, the two carriers will coordinate their schedules on routes between Istanbul and five Ukrainian cities Kiev, Odessa, Simferopol, Dnepropetrovsk and Donetsk.
Together, the two airlines account for 60.6 percent of the seats between Turkey and Ukraine, with the two Turkish low-cost operators Pegasus and Onur Air standing for the remaining shares in the market.
AeroSvit operates 23 flights per week to Istanbul Ataturk Airport from Dnepropetrovsk, Dontesk, Kiev, Odessa and Simferopol, while THY offers 38 flights per week on the same routes, as well as a connection between Istanbul and Lviv.
