Jan 11, 2012 (newstodate): The Slovak ACMI carrier AirExplore has now placed one aircraft in Cambodia on a contract with Tonl� Sap Airlines.
-We are currently registering one Boeing 737-300 aircraft in Cambodia where our customer will deploy it on routes between Cambodia, China, Vietnam and Taiwan, says Martin Stulajter, Air Explore CEO and co-owner.
-We will help the Cambodian carrier with training of cockpit crews and operational matters under the ACMI contract that runs for 15 months. Cabin crews will be Cambodians.
Tonl� Sap Airlines was set up in 2010 and launched flights on January 21, 2011, with one leased MD-82 aircraft.
-Our other aircraft, a Boeing 737-400, is operated on routes from Italy, and we expect to add a second Boeing 737-400 aircraft in 2012, probably by April, says Mr Stulajter.
Based at Bratislava, Air Explore received its AOC on May 31, 2010, launched flights with its first aircraft, a Boeing 737-300, in June 2010, and added a second aircraft, the Boeing 737-400, in June 2011.
