Jan 30, 2012 (newstodate): A new carrier will soon be announced in Georgia - named Fly Georgia.
Fly Georgia is a private venture to be based at Tbilisi Airport with plans to offer flights between Georgia and a range of destinations in Europe, the Middle East, Central and South Asia.
The new carrier will compete with the existing Georgian airline Georgian Airways, but also with foreign airlines in the country, including Turkish airlines, and Ukraine's Aerosvit.
The new airline will operate a fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft and has already been recruiting cockpit and cabin crews.
