Jan 25, 2012 (newstodate): Russia has decided to launch the construction of a third runway at Moscow Domodedovo Airport.
The new runway will be 3,800m in length, and 60m in width, allowing for operations by all types of aircraft including Airbus A380, and with capacity of handling up to 45 flight operations per hour.
Construction works will start during the first quarter of 2012, and the runway will be commissioned by the fourth quarter of 2016.
