Jan 25, 2012 (newstodate): Sikorsky Aerospace Services has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Danish Aerotech A/S to discuss the possibility of establishing a maritime helicopter logistic support capability in Denmark.
The eventual realization of this project will however depend on a decision by the Danish Government to select the company's MH-60R Seahawk helicopters for the Royal Danish Navy.
Potential collaboration by the two companies comes as the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization continues to evaluate the MH-60R helicopter for the Danish Navy's Maritime Helicopter Replacement Program.
DALO is expected to announce its final selection in 2012.
Based at Karup, Denmark, Danish Aerotech A/S is an aerospace and defense company specializing in development, production, installation and support of mechanical, electrical and electronic parts and components for aircraft, helicopters, and missiles, as well as maintenance, modifications and integration of aircraft, missiles and associated components.
