Jan 02, 2012 (newstodate): In November 2011, only two carriers - close to the end of the IATA Top-10 list - managed to show positive growth in IATA export airfreight volumes.
In the Danish market, down by 10.4 percent, y-o-y, in November, Qatar Airways fetched 4.8 percent in market share and increased its export volumes by 139.8 percent, y-o-y, to 278 tonnes, qualifying to a position as #9 on the list.
Ending as #10 in November 2011, Air France Cargo lifted 220 tonnes of cargo out of Denmark, up 7.9 percent, y-o-y, and gaining 3.8 percent of the IATA export airfreight market.
All other Top-10 carriers noted a fall in volumes, compared to November 2010, including #1, KLM Cargo with 15.5 percent of the market, and #2 with 13.8 percent of the market SAS Cargo.
KLM Cargo and SAS Cargo were down 2.4 and 8.7 percent, respectively, to 899 and 801 tonnes.
Closest to status quo, compared to November 2010, were #4, Thai Cargo with 495 tonnes and Singapore Airlines Cargo, #6 with 298 tonnes.
