Jan 27, 2012 (newstodate): The Danish ACMI carrier DAT is again expanding its fleet, this time with a new aircraft type.
Already now in the process of registration in Denmark are two Bombardier Dash 8-100 aircraft to be dedicated to serving the carrier's newly-won routes between airports in northern Norway where short runways require this type of aircraft.
A third Dash 8-100 aircraft is also being purchased to serve as a back-up to these operations and to be based at Bodoe, Norway.
In the DAT fleet are already one MD-83, one MD-87, three ATR-72, 11 ATR-42 including two in freighter version, and two SAAB 340 that are now to be put up for sale.
