Sep 15, 2011 (newstodate): Ukraine and Qatar are negotiating a new air services agreement.
The agreement will regulate the air traffic between the two markets including designation of carriers from each side and procedures for establishing new routes as well as for code-sharing.
The coming air services agreement will probably pave the road for Qatar Airways to open traffic between Kiev and Doha.
The carrier is amidst a program to set up new routes into Eastern Europe with new flights from Doha to Georgia and Azerbaijan to be opened from February 1, 2012, and launched services on its new route to Sofia, Bulgaria, from September 14, 2011.
Qatar Airways has already started recruiting Ukrainean cabin crews at events earlier this summer.
