Sep 26, 2011 (newstodate): In August 2011, Norway was the only market in the Nordic region with positive growth in IATA export cargo volumes.
A total of 7,307 tonnes of export cargo was generated by IATA carriers in the Norwegian market, an increase by 7.1 percent, y-o-y.
Korean Air Cargo was in the lead with 1,085 tonnes of cargo corresponding to 14.8 percent of the market.
The largest dip in August was seen in the Swedish IATA export cargo market where volumes were down 14 percent y-o-y, to 7,838 tonnes.
Here SAS Cargo was in the lead with 10.2 percent of the market, or 816 tonnes.
The Danish market was also down by 7.1 percent in August 2011, to 5,702 tonnes of IATA export cargo sales.
KLM Cargo with 836 tonnes topped the list with 14.7 percent of the market.
Finally Finland, where total IATA export volumes were down 3.8 percent to 3,436 tonnes.
As usual, Finnair was the undisputed leader with 48.7 percent of the market, or 1,674 tonnes.
