Sep 27, 2011 (newstodate): Ukraine International Airlines Cargo is upbeat about prospects for a grand year in cargo volumes.
The company exceeded its total 2010 tonnage volume within the first seven months of this year, and by the end of September it expects to have exceeded its 25,000 tonnes target for the year, forecasting also a strong fourth quarter.
The carrier launched flights on new routes from Kiev to Moscow and Samara in July 2011, and is now preparing to start operations from Kiev to Ashgabat in Turkmenistan, Delhi in India and Tehran in Iran in the fourth quarter.
The airline operates a fleet comprising 18 Boeing 737 and and one AN-148 passenger aircraft, as well as one Boeing 737-300F freighter operating a daily feeder flights between Kiev and Vienna as well as many other services.
