Sep 23, 2011 (newstodate): Slovakia new carrier Air Explore has seen a good summer season and plans to add aircraft in 2012.
-We have been flying for tour operators, and one aircraft has been on a wet-lease contract with a Polish carrier for one month, now returning, and over-all we have done pretty well. We have also been operating flights for Central Charter Airlines to supplement their own capacity, says Martihn Stulajter, Air Explore CEO and co-owner.
-In the fleet are now one Boeing 737-300 and one Boeing 737-400, and we are planning to add a second Boeing 737-400 in 2012 as we see a market for it, and it comes at a reasonable price as well.
-We have been operating primarily on routes between Italy and Northern Europe, with only little traffic in and out of Slovakia, and we expect the same to be the case ahead, says Mr Stulajter.
Based at Bratislava, Air Explore received its AOC on May 31, 2010, launched flights with its first aircraft in June 2010, adding a second aircraft in June 2011.
