Sep 22, 2011 (newstodate): New carrier in Slovakia is Slovakian Airlines, set up by a Slovak entrepreneur, Arnold Medzihradskeho, and Mikhail Bagdasarov who is also the owner of the Armenian carrier Armavia.
The carrier, based at Bratislava Milan Rastislav Stefanik, has just taken delivery of its first aircraft, a Boeing 737-500 on a lease contract with Armavia and formerly operated by the Czech CSA.
Slovakian Airlines is still in the process of applying for a Slovak AOC that is expected by December 2011 after which flight operations to yet-undisclosed destinations will start.
