Sep 15, 2011 (newstodate): The Lithuanian ACMI and charter operator Small Planet Airlines is now targeting tour operators in the markets of Benelux and France.
The company has now strengthened its sales force in Belgium, Netherlands, Luxemburg and France to attract business from local tour operators.
-In 2011, we launched charter flights from United Kingdom and Ireland after signing three initial charter contracts for the winter season and one for the upcoming summer. We have also received an AOC in Italy and established bases in Milan Malpensa and Rome Fiumicino airports. Now we strongly believe that Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg and France are interesting markets with great potential for us, says Vytautas Kaikaris, Small Planet Airlines CEO.
Small Planet Airlines is currently operating a fleet comprising six Boeing 737-300 and two Airbus 320 aircraft.
Plans are to add another two Airbus A320 aircraft in 2012.
