Sep 13, 2011 (newstodate): Lithuania's Palanga Airport is to see new Swedish air traffic from October 17, 2011.
The small Swedish carrier Sweden Airways will launch flights on two new route to Palanga, one from Stockholm Bromma Airport, the other from Ronneby.
Both route will be served three times weekly with Piper PA-31-350 accommodating eight passengers.
No other carriers are currently offering direct non-stop flights from Sweden to Palanga, which has so far required flights via Copenhagen, Riga or Oslo where Norwegian is also operating on route Oslo-Palanga.
Till August 8, 2011, named Orebro Aviation, Sweden Airways operates taxi and business aviation with a Piper PA-31 and a Piper PA-31-350.
One of the more peculiar specialties of Orebro Aviation/Sweden Airways is a contract with the Swedish Criminal Corrections for air transport of prisoners.
