Sep 26, 2011 (newstodate): After solving its financial issues earlier this year, the Lithuanian charter airline and ACMI provider Aurela is back in the fast lane again.
The carrier is currently operating two Boeing 737-300 aircraft, but reveals plans for a major expansion.
-We are planning to add one or two Boeing 757-200 aircraft, with the first to arrive soon, says Alexandr Celiadin, Aurela commercial manager.
-Aurela was actually the first Baltic carrier to introduce the Boeing 757 aircraft in February 2009, but it was later returned to its lessor in 2010.
-Aurela is also planning to add two more Boeing 737 aircraft, either 737-300 or other types, maybe Boeing 737NG.
-Our aircraft are operated for airlines round the world on ACMI contracts, as well as operating flights for tour operators in the Baltics and elsewhere. The market is indeed growing, and we are now in a position to cope, says Mr Celiadin.
