Sep 27, 2011 (newstodate): The Kazakh carrier Air Astana is to add two new aircraft to its fleet.
Air Astana has placed orders for delivery of two new Embraer 190 aircraft by early 2012, adding to the two similar aircraft already in the fleet and leased from Jetscape.
The carrier now also holds options for a further two Embraer 190 aircraft.
In the fleet are now two Boeing 767-300, four Boeing 757-200, 11 Airbus A320 Family aircraft, two Embraer 190 and six Fokker 50.
Air Astana earlier signed a MoU with Boeing for delivery of three Boeing 787 aircraft - but the MoU expired without Air Astana exercising its rights.
