Sep 20, 2011 (newstodate): As the carrier builds up traffic in the Nordic and Baltic markets, Flybe Nordic will be keen to utilize its buying power to obtain also optimal handling contracts with providers.
-Flybe is certainly not going for a single provider, but rather for dual sourcing as the best way to ensure the best and most competitive handling contracts, says Mike Rutter, Flybe Europe managing director.
-On a European scale, we are used to work with a range of providers to achieve the most excellent handling rates, and based on the concrete market conditions in the Nordic and Baltic region we will do likewise here. It is obvious that we will use our purchasing power to limit the number of providers to as few as possible, given the concrete situation, market by market, says Mr Rutter.
