Sep 20, 2011 (newstodate): The Lithuanian aviation training company Baltic Aviation Academy has now launched an Airbus A320 Full Flight Simulator, the first in the Baltic States, at its premises at Vilnius Airport.
The new facility is focused on leveraging the demand of Central, Eastern European and Russian aviation markets where pilots are much needed to man growing fleet of western-built aircraft.
Before the Airbus A320 simulator relocation to the academys headquarters, practical Airbus A320 type rating trainings were executed in Southampton, and the relocation will increase the training company's Airbus A320 training hours by 25 percent per year.
