Sep 16, 2011 (newstodate): Air Maintenance Estonia, based at Tallinn Airport, has now started work on a new hangar for Base Maintenance works.
-The new hangar will cover a total of 14,000 sq m including three maintenance bays, back shops, offices and facilities, and the bays will be designed to allow for heavy maintenance work on both Airbus and Boeing aircraft simultaneously.
-Plans are that the new hangar will be ready by September 2012, says Lars-Olof Bolinder, AME managing director.
-We are, however, also looking beyond Tallinn, and our owners are currently studying options for acquisitions that may establish a new position for us in a European context, says Mr Bolinder.
