Sep 09, 2011 (newstodate): The carrier Danish Air Transport, DAT, has now announced the opening of flights at Norway's Rygge Moss Airport.
Effective from October 31, 2011, DAT will operate two weekly rotations on the route between Moss Rygge Airport and Stavanger, now served by City Airline.
Next, from January 9, 2012, will follow three daily flights by DAT from Moss Rygge to Bergen, and two daily flights to Trondheim.
-These new routes will constitute our largest investment in one Norwegian airport so far, and we are keen to develop this further with more flights to other destinations in the Nordic region if warranted by the market, says Jesper Rungholm, DAT CEO.
Among future plans may be also flights to Copenhagen, Denmark, according to sources in the industry.
The new market situation has been created by the decision by the LCC carrier Norwegian to stop all international flights from Moss Rygge Airport by October 28, 2011, while its current flights on domestic routes will cease from the end of January 2012.
