Sep 05, 2011 (newstodate): Press reports about plans by the Danish carrier DAT to launch flights from Norway's Moss Rygge Airport hold true.
-We expect to launch flights from Moss Rygge Airport to Bergen and Stavanger when the current operator Norwegian pulls out, says Jesper Rungholm, Danish Air Transport CEO.
-Meeting this week. we are in talks with the airport about conditions and hope to be able to make an announcement tomorrow.
Also in the plans are flights from Moss Rygge Airport to Trondheim, and further down the line may be flights to Copenhagen, Denmark.
-Opening of flights to Copenhagen will however only be considered after seeing the other flights from Rygge Airport performing satisfactorily, says Mr Rungholm.
Norwegian will stop all international flights from Moss Rygge Airport by October 28, 2011, and flights on domestic routes will cease from the end of January, leaving the airport without domestic services unless another carrier steps in.
